Under the supervision of the Head of Department, the Grade Control Geologist – Modeling and Evaluation will have the main missions of supervising and optimizing the grade control and geological modeling operations of the gold deposit, in order to ensure the best possible exploitation of the resources, compliance with quality standards and the safety of operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement procedures for monitoring geological data content, collection and storage.
• Carry out and update geological and geotechnical modeling of the deposit (3D maps, resource models).
• Supervises sampling, control drilling and data analysis.
• Ensure monthly reconciliation of mined and planned mineral resources.
• Integrate dilution control and propose methods for dilution reduction.
• Collaborate closely with the production and mine planning teams to ensure optimal use of resource models.
• Establish and implement best practices (QA/QC) for sampling and modeling.
• Train, mentor and provide technical mentoring to geological teams.
• Participate in the preparation of reports and resource estimates for management.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards on the site
Profil
Knowledge / Skills and Competencies:
• Mastery of geological modeling software (Datamine, Surpac, Vulcan, etc.)
• Management of computerized geological databases
• Good knowledge of applied geostatistics
• Control and monitoring of mining operations and dilution
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Interpersonal skills to coordinate and supervise a team
• Excellent knowledge of health, safety and mining environment standards.

Training / Education Requirements:
• Engineering degree in geology or related field (bac+5 minimum)
• Knowledge of JORC standards, ability to validate resource models
• Professional designation or ability to obtain official accreditation (geologist or engineer)
Experience required:
• 10 years of experience in mining geology, including 5 years in a managerial or supervisory position
• Proven experience in open-pit gold mines (essential)
• Proficiency in professional English
