PROJECT GEOLOGIST

Job Description

The geologist will report directly to the Exploration Manager and Senior Geologist. They  will work closely with the Exploration team (Geologists, Database Technician, Subcontractors). 
Job objective
  • To manage the integration of geological, geochemical and geophysical data in order to generate, develop and advance exploration targets.
  • Participate in the discovery of deposits
Main missions 
  • to conduct the geological work necessary for the identification and development of exploration targets.
  • Integrate geological, geochemical and geophysical data to generate new exploration targets.
  • Plan, monitor and interpret DD, RC and AC drilling programs.
  • Carry out or supervise geological and regolith mapping.
  • Produce and update 3D geological models.
  • Supervise the logging and quality of data produced by field teams and subcontractors.
  • Prepare periodic technical reports.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of HSE practices within exploration teams.
  •  Ensure the integration and consistent interpretation of available data
  • To ensure the supervision of drilling campaigns, the quality control of collected information and the production of geological models useful for decision-making.

Profile

Formation
 
  • Master’s degree in Mining  Geology  , Exploration, or equivalent

Experience

  • At least 7 years of experience as an exploration geologist
  • field experience, drilling and technical supervision. 

Expected technical skills

  • Excellent ability to analyze and interpret exploration data.
  • Proficiency in specialized software: Micromine, Geosoft Target, Leapfrog and GIS tools.
  • Good command of logging, sampling and quality control methods.
  • Experience in mapping, structural modeling and interpretation.
  • Ability to produce clear and actionable technical reports.

  • A good command of French
  • English is also expected.
