Lead the decision making process between owner mining and contract mining and ensure proper execution
Manage the Mining Contract including tender processes using international standard formats and assess potential candidates accordingly and proper execution
Provide technical expertise to sites
Review and aggregate LOM plans, run scenarios and do Tier 4 plans
Provide technical expertise to sites
Assurance that adequate and measurable contractor management QAQC terms are included in all mining contracts and track them
Ensure compliance with contract penalties are completed and documented,
Defining quality assurance and control reporting metrics, reports and deliverables are communicated to client’s management and mining contractors
Ensure appropriate deliverables from both the owner and contractor are done to an appropriate standard
Assist in Rise and Fall simulations and risk assessments for other departments
Work to upskill and train site mining contract personnel
Assist on cost analysis and reporting assessments

Education:

Relevant experience:

Minimum 10 years’ experience in similar mining or management field
Demonstrated contract management and key account management experience and expertise
Sound base financial knowledge of main cost drivers in this environment.
Knowledge of Gold operations.
Excellent understanding of the mining industry, industry practices, regulations and technical advancements.
Knowledge and understanding of mine operations and planning is a plus.
A proven history in delivering results to schedule and budget while having demonstrated a proactive commitment to a safe working environment.
Able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation and build effective relationships and networks.

Demonstrates strong conceptual skills, and be capable of developing lateral and practical solutions.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks at the same time.
