SITE SECURITY MANAGER M/F

The Site Security Manager is responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring all security measures to protect people, property, infrastructure, and company operations. It acts in accordance with internal policies, local legislation, as well as international standards, including the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights.

Strategy and compliance

  • Define and apply the site’s security strategy in coordination with the Direction Générale.
  • Ensure compliance with local laws, internal standards and international best practices.
  • Regularly update human rights risk assessments.

 

Operational Security Management

  • Organize the physical security of facilities: mine sites, camps, offices, sensitive areas.
  • Manage security contractors, evaluate their performance and ensure compliance.
  • Coordinate with local: military forces, security forces and local police/gendarmery.

Protection of people and assets

  • Prevent and respond to threats: theft, intrusions, illegal mining activities.
  • Secure critical operations (gold processing, shipping, maintenance, etc.).
  • Organize close protection for executives when needed.

Crisis and incident management

  • Participate in the site’s crisis management team.
  • Conduct or supervise security investigations and produce clear and actionable reports.
  • Ensure continuous monitoring of the internal and external security situation.

Coaching and developing the team

  • Supervise, mentor and train security personnel (internal and contractors).
  • Evaluate individual and collective performance.
  • Identify talent and set up development plans.

Management of resources and tools

  • Develop and monitor the site’s security budget.
  • Supervise the deployment and maintenance of technical security systems: video surveillance, detection, access control.

Profil

Knowledge / Skills & Skills:

  • Leadership, composure, rigor, analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural and sensitive context.
  • Fluency in French and English (written and oral).
  • Skills in contract management and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Good knowledge of security tools and technologies.

Training/Education Requirements:

  • Advanced degree in security, risk management, or equivalent (military, law enforcement).

Experience required:

  • Minimum 10 to 15 years of experience in a similar position or in the armed forces
  • Proven experience in crisis management, infrastructure protection and information gathering
  • Significant experience in West Africa desired in security

Language Requirement:

  • English: fluent
  • French: fluent

Informations contractuelles

  • Field mobility in potentially isolated or at-risk areas.
  • Availability in case of emergency, including outside normal operating hours.
