Main objectives of the position:
Under the supervision of the Superintendent of Human Resources, the Social Worker (M/F) is responsible for supporting employees in the resolution of their personal and professional difficulties, in order to improve their well-being, promote quality of life at work (QWL) and prevent psychosocial risks.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Welcome, listen to and support workers facing social, economic, family, health or housing difficulties.
- Evaluate individual and collective situations in order to propose adapted and personalized solutions.
- Inform employees, support them in their administrative procedures.
- To act as an interface between workers and management to raise social issues and propose corrective or preventive actions.
- Collaborate with internal partners (occupational medicine, HR, staff representatives) and external partners (social organizations, local associations, health authorities, etc.) for the overall management of situations.
- Carry out collective actions of prevention and awareness on social themes (health, housing, debt, violence, harassment).
- Prevent absenteeism, manage crisis situations (conflicts, harassment, stress) and act as a mediator between employees and management
- Participate in local social development, particularly in connection with the communities bordering the mining site.
- Ensure rigorous administrative follow-up: management of files, drafting of activity reports, statistics, compliance with the regulatory framework.
Respect professional secrecy and establish a relationship of trust with employees
Profil
Knowledge / Skills and Competencies:
· Good interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work in a cross-functional team.
· Have analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Good command of the Office Pack.
· Experience in report writing.
· Ability to work under pressure and willingness to work flexible hours in case of emergency.
· Good knowledge of labor law and local Guinean realities.
· Ability to work independently, listening skills, empathy, rigor and discretion.
· Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and manage emergency situations.
· Mobility and availability for possible travel to the site and surrounding communities.
· Practice of local languages and/or English is an asset.

Training / Education Requirements:
- State diploma of Social Service Assistant (DEASS) or recognized equivalent.
Experience required:
- State diploma of Social Service Assistant (DEASS) or recognized equivalent.
Language Requirements:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in French and English (is a great asset).
- Proficiency in local languages, especially Malinké, is required
