To manage and drive the effectiveness of materials availability as required via the following processes.
- Material Management
- Assist in optimization of the material replenishment process (MRP)
- Technical material identification in support to warehouse staff
- Oversee and assist in process optimization for re-ordering.
- Review stock availability for items needed for maintenance department planned shutdowns and maintenance requirement
- Material Coordinating
- Action weekly maintenance material requirement status updates and follow-up
- Cross departmental process alignment for optimal effectiveness
- Liase with all departments for updates on spares and tracking of in-bound shipments
- Training and development
- Ensure best processes are achieved and adhere to, regarding the material management process and actions
- System training for employees across all departments, including oversight of system data integrity
- Pronto Super-user, and system configuration investigations.
- General;
- Liaise with Procurement Department by providing them with a spare parts requirement forecast
- Collaborate with Operations to optimise the maintenance schedule according to operational priorities.
- Assist in the planning and preparation of Shutdowns.
- Set up and manage KPI reports and tracking
- Assist in development and continuous improvement of maintenance planning and preventative maintenance programs.
Maintain safety, housekeeping and environmental standards relative to the Warehouse buildings and related areas.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1) Ensure all work in and around warehouse is safe, according to procedures and standards are adhered to.
2) Ensure accuracy of the information provided and received.
3) Ensure warehouse processes are done accurate and as entered in Pronto system.
4) Ensure site and statutory requirements are not compromised
- i)Ensure all statutory inspections are scheduled.
- ii)Alert management to high risk out-of-stock conditions in regard to material availability, and critical PR/PO and delivery requirements
5) Identify cost saving initiatives
6) Adhere to all company policies, procedures.
7) Uphold company vision and values.
8) Punctuality and availability as per the roster
9) Liaise with all departments within the Materials requirement Process.
- a)To ensure Stock holding based on MRP settings
- b)Materials required for operational needs are investigated and status is shared to relevant department
- c)Track requests and identify process flow limitations and drive actions for successful execution. (Picking slip/ PR to PO, delivery/logistics and payment.
- d)Identify new items to be coded and created as stock (ANSI / catalogue process)
10) Liaise with Warehousing related to all consumables parts and reagents to ensure optimum stock holding within the company’s stock on hand targets.
11) Optimise systems between departments and ware housing for issuing and receiving using CMMS system
12) Facilitate Systems training regarding CMMS/Requestions and Projects specific orders
13) Assist warehousing to identify technical details on materials and parts improving accuracy of information and labelling assisting Inventory and cataloguing through Warehouse supervisor/superintendent
14) Update redundant materials ahead of time between departments and Warehousing.
15) Track and report on Stock Valuation and Stock Availability, with replenishment requests, PO status, and shipping information.
Identify spares and material correctly regarding technical specifications, allocate bins according to storage requirements, update bin locations in system, bin stock, and update system.
Profil
- Maintenance and operational engineering background with good knowledge on planning practices in industrial plants.
- A good working knowledge of gold process plant.
- A good working knowledge of maintenance planning systems and Asset Management Systems, preferably PRONTO
- Ability to analyse information and write reports using MS Office.
- Ability to budget and forecast material and parts usage
- Knowledge of Warehouse operational functions, stock management and MRP processes within Material Management
- Knowledge of Material Master Data set up, cataloguing and analysing re-order limits and parameters.
Exposure to all different Engineering fields with technical knowledge in all fields, as far possible.
Training / Education requirements:
Maintenance Senior planner, Scheduler, Previous materials coordinator experience, QA/QC and project planning. Must be able to identify engineering materials and specifications electrical and Mechanical
Experience required:
Minimum 5 years maintenance experience in industrial planning.
