- The TSF Manager will be responsible for managing the construction of the TSF lifts together with future lifts and TSF expansions. The TSF Manager will be formally appointed as the site Gold Mine Responsible Tailings Facility Engineer and be responsible for the TSF Operations as set out by the TSF operating manual to ensure compliance to the GISTM.
- Manage the TSF construction contractor/s appointed to perform TSF interim lifts.
- Ensure TSF raises / lifts are constructed as per design.
- Manage the TSF operating team.
- Interact with the Engineer on Record and ensure recommendations are implemented.
- Appoint an Independent Tailings Review Board (ITRB) and / or Senior Technical Reviewer.
- Establish and implement a program to manage the quality of engineering work, the interactions between the Engineer of Record and the accountable executive/s.
- Implement a formal TSF change request system.
- Establish policies, systems, and accountabilities to support the safety and integrity of the tailings facility.
- Plan and manage the yearly TSF operational audits.
- Ensure the TFS is operated as outlined in the operating manual.
- Update and calibrate the TSF water balance model.
- Manage the TSF designers and ensure all assessments are completed to ensure compliance to the GISTM.
- Manage all TSF related reviews and / or due diligence processes.
- Ensure the Emergency Preparedness and Response plan are kept up to date.
- Compile weekly and monthly reports as required by the General Manager.
- Perform civil project engineer duties on an ad hoc basis as required by the KGM Project Management Office (PMO).

Training / Education requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Mining Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional certification or chartered status (e.g., P.Eng, Pr.Eng, CEng) is a plus.
Experience required:
- 10+ years of experience in TSF management, civil construction, or mining engineering.
- Proven experience in tailings dam construction, operation, and compliance.
- Strong knowledge of GISTM, ICMM, and other tailings management regulations.
- Experience working with Engineers of Record (EoR) and regulatory bodies.
- Familiarity with water balance modeling, geotechnical assessments, and dam safety monitoring.
