Main objectives of the position:

The HR Business Partner acts as a key interlocutor between the human resources department  and the operational teams in the implementation of the HR strategy. He ensures the harmonization of HR policies with business objectives,  while providing close support to managers and employees.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Advise operational managers on all issues related to personnel management (staffing, performance, training, development, etc.).).
  • Support the implementation of HR policies and procedures on the site (recruitment, onboarding, mobility, career management, payroll and benefits).
  • Participate in the definition and monitoring of the annual training plan.
  • Contributing to the management of social relations: anticipation of conflicts.
  • Support performance management processes: goal setting, appraisal interviews, individual development plans.
  • Provide regular HR indicators (absenteeism, turnover rate, staffing, discipline, work accidents, etc…).
  • Ensure the legal compliance of HR practices in connection with the Labour Code and applicable collective agreements.
  • Contribute to the promotion of a culture of respect, safety and fairness at the site.

Profil

Knowledge / Skills and Competencies:

  • Good knowledge of local labour law and relations with administrative and social authorities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to work in a remote, multicultural environment with high operational requirements.
  • Mastery of the Office pack
  • Influential leadership and internal customer focus.

Training / Education Requirements:

  • Bac+2/3 in Human Resources, Employment Law or equivalent.

Experience required:

  • 2 years of experience in HR, including a part in an industrial/mining environment.

Language Requirements:

  • Fluency in French is mandatory; Professional English preferred.
