INTERMEDIATE GEOLOGIST
Job Description
The Geologist will report directly to the General Management and will work closely with the geological, technical and administrative teams.
Job Objectives
- Identify and develop economically viable mineral targets
- To manage and monitor the company’s technical activities
- Contributing to the enhancement and development of mining permits
Missions and responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate high-potential mining targets (PR/PE)
- Structuring, planning and supervising exploration programs
- Supervise field campaigns: mapping, geochemistry and geophysics
- Deploy and supervise exploration teams
- Launch and supervise drilling programs (RC / diamond)
- Analyze and interpret geological data
- Write technical reports and ensure their quality
- Ensure regulatory compliance (mining code)
- Ensure the submission and follow-up of administrative files
- Ensuring the proper management and archiving of technical data
Profile
Formation
- Bachelor’s degree (3 years of higher education) to Master’s degree (5 years of higher education) in mining geology, exploration or equivalent
Experience
- Over 5 years of experience in mineral exploration
- Experience on gold projects in West Africa is highly desirable
SKILLS
- Good command of mineral exploration techniques
- Ability to identify promising targets
- Leadership and field team management
- Autonomy, rigor and a sense of initiative
- Good analytical and technical writing skills
- Knowledge of the mining code and administrative procedures
- Proficiency in geological software (Surpac, Datamine, GIS) is an asset

- French: Fluent
- Professional English: appreciated
